Stop Call - Caller Blocking Tool

28 July 2008 No Comment

A week or so ago, I gave a couple of presentations to members of the Hamilton Journey Cluster.  A slideshow of that presentation is in an earlier post here.

At the end of the presentation, a lady asked if I knew of a way to block unwanted callers from her child’s cellphone.

Today I stumbled across a solution - although only for Symbian 60 phones (later model phones using the Symbian 60 operating system).

Go to symbian-freak for more information and to download the application.

CallBlock

StopCall is a free application that allows you to control who is able to call you on your mobile phone.  It filters the incoming phone numbers and blocks and rejects unwanted calls.

You simply add numbers to a black list and let the application run in the background.  You can set it up to reject all incoming calls and to reject all private/hidden numbers also.
