Literacy and Numeracy - Teacher Mate

I was recently contacted by the creators of TeacherMate to see if I would be interested in taking a look at and reviewing one of their TeacherMate products and I have been very impressed. Here is a quick summary of the tool itself.

Ewan McIntosh has written a great article here endorsing the use of mobile phones in education and is calling for feedback to this article.  No doubt the same old arguments will come out but namely that of “text language is bad for literacy” and my ultimate favourite (which has actually been said to me of my teaching before) “we should be teaching students to interact with each other not to talk to computers or pieces of technology”.

  I do love twitter and although I haven’t posted from mobile before, as in sent a txt, I would definitely find this site useful for accessing all my latest twitter feeds when I am out and about.
