ICT in a Secondary French Class

I am privileged to work with an incredibly motivated and creative teacher who is always exploring the best ways to engage her students. She teaches French and was recently profiled in the New Zealand ICT PD Newsletter and I just wanted to cross-post the article here so as others who may not read the newsletter may be inspired by Florence as I have been! I was recently contacted by the creators of TeacherMate to see if I would be interested in taking a look at and reviewing one of their TeacherMate products and I have been very impressed. Here is a quick summary of the tool itself.

I was interested to see that the main selling point of this scheme was that kids could change their classes, buy pizza, plan their social lives, get maps of the university, check the weather so they can pick an outfit and sync with Facebook…
