Wow… this is cool… haven’t played with it yet so I can’t tell you how it works or anything… but basically you get to produce your own TV show and you can upload all your own files and kind of mash it together with machinima…
Send me a link to your TV shows if you have already made one… I would love to know more about it but seriously do not have the time right now…
Check out this video about it.

Since my original podcast source at Yahoo! has changed and gone hard to use on me… and the podcasts with ‘explicit’ content ie. the ones about sex ed that are obviously popular with the kids … have moved to the top of the list I am no longer enjoying using it and in fact am avoiding using it..
However, I have found this site

which hopefully will fill in my gaps! Haven’t had the need to use it as yet as the year is over already! Anyone else using or any comments???
I thought that this was cool… it really appealed to my procrastination tendencies… anyway… you type the lyrics, this site sings it… using words from famous songs that you will recognise… once again strangely addictive!

Another mind-mapping programme…
Although I think that Mindmeister is far superior but it does cost about $100 NZ per year to keep it. While it is a WONDERFUL WONDERFUL tool, I don’t think it is worth this much to me - especially as the power of it only really starts to take hold when you are collaborating and it is just too big of an expense to get - particularly students - to foot. Also, the fact is that people are still nervous about handing out credit card details etc. over the internet - especially for an on-line programme.

So I have found, and trialled, very briefly, bubbl.us. It is not as streamlined - a bit more fiddly but I like that you can get the ‘legs’ to go down rather than straight out - which is something that annoys me about mindmeister - but I guess it makes it more straight forward.
Just like mindmeister - you can print and embed your mind map. As well as work on it collaboratively with other users and e-mail it.
Is anyone using it - I would love to hear what other people think about this.
I have been seeing this site pop up around the place for a while now but have never bothered to go there… today I went there and it is strangely addictive!
You are given a word and 4 possible meanings for that word. For every word you guess the correct meaning, 10 grains of rice are donated to Oxfam to go towards world hunger. Apparently it works through paying for the rice with the money generated through the advertising on each page.
Apparently yesterday there were over 123 million grains of rice donated… I wonder who counts it all
Why don’t you try it
